Half Dime. 1796. VF-20. Valentine-2. LIKERTY. Medium gray toning and nice on nice the obverse, the reverse has some moderate scrapes and scratches, most of which are probably adjustment marks. All design elements are sharp and clear. One of the most difficult type coins to locate, the small eagle Half Dimes circulated hard, and few were saved in grades even approaching this.

Half Dime. 1837. NGC graded MS-66. No Stars. Gobrecht Type. A nearly flawless gem with pristine surfaces and abundant mint luster. Not a breath of toning on either side, and boldly struck. Difficult to find even in gem condition, the MS-66 will excite even the advanced collector for the nearly perfect state of preservation of this coin. Normally found with numerous marks in the wide open fields, a design which was soon modified to add stars, helping to protect the fields from tick marks. Seldom found this nice!
